A glass extension for a new house.

The brief was to provide additional space for sitting and more natural light to the kitchen.

For this extension we come up with a bit more sophisticated language which takes inspiration form the early Modern Movement architectures. While perfectly complementing the original house the extension is conceived as if it was formed by 2 simple elements: a brick wall and a ‘zinc slab’ which covers a corner opening. This translates into a generous glass opening which embrace a cosy sitting area and open up the living space to tranquil garden views.
