LOCATION: Scotstoun, Glasgow
TYPE: House Extension, Conservation Area
YEAR COMPLETED: 2019
AREA: 35sqm
The brief for this project was to replace an inefficient conservatory with an extension without compromising the natural lighting that a full glazed roof can provide. The mansard roof of the house created some constraints for the project which we turned into a design solution.
The extension has a lean to roof however a clean and modern elevation conceals the gutter and the pitched roof providing an unfussy and neat aesthetic to the extension. Generous view to the garden and wide velux windows allow plenty of natural lighting to the extended space.
